We are a well established and experienced dog walking and cat sitting company. We love all animals but we specialise in looking after your furry friends - cats and dogs. We care for your pets in the same way as you would and just as you want. Whether it be dog walking, cat sitting, play visits, feeding, holiday care or just providing some pet company, we want your cats and dogs to be happy.
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and we provide regular photos and updates on how your pets are doing - either on their dog walk or whilst you are away. Every pet (and pet parent) is different and we get to know both you and your pet to ensure that everyone is content and looked after.
We are based in Abbotswood, Romsey in Hampshire and our standard pricing includes services within a 2 mile radius of Abbotswood. If you live further afield we are happy to help but will need to charge a bit extra for travel. Just get in touch!
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

We use an unmarked vehicle to avoid drawing attention to your absence from home, especially during holidays.

Dog walks are always local—Abbotswood Nature Reserve, Ampfield Wood, Tadburn Meadows, or Fishlake Meadows—minimising car time and maximising fresh air.

Every new doggy enjoys their first walks with two team members, ensuring calm, well-managed introductions and a positive start.

Our walks include a mix of active play (balls, sticks, and zoomies!) and peaceful moments for treats, cuddles, and bonding.

We take photos at every cat visit and on every walk so you can see all the happy faces and adventures your pet is having!
Dog Walking & Visits
Every dog is an individual to us and we want our dogs to be happy on our group dog walks.
We collect and drop home your dog and we operate our dog walking services in safe open spaces away from busy roads. We provide a mixture of on and off lead dog walks so that your dog is able to get a good amount of exercise.
We also make sure your dog has some peaceful time to enjoy cuddles and treats.
Cat Sitting
Whether it be for a holiday, weekend away, business trip or company for new kittens, we can pop in and visit your cat at home, provide fresh food, clean litter trays, provide cuddles and playtime and administer medication if required. We want to make sure your VIP is purfectly happy during their cat sit.
While visiting your cat we can also water plants, put your bins out and open or close the curtains to give the impression of the house being occupied.

George walks my dog, Scruffy, twice a week for an hour. Scruffy is always dog-tired when I get home at the end of the day, so I know she's had a fantastic time! George is reliable, honest, caring and trustworthy and keeps me up to date with Scruffy's walks by sending photographs, which is a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend for all your pet care needs, not just dog-walking!

I cannot thank George enough for the care and support she has provided for my 2 cats Max and Mia. Always reliable and flexible to look after them and it has been so reassuring to know when I’m away that they are well looked after. A daily message and series of pictures is always welcomed to see them so happy and relaxed. A house move out of the area means I have to find an alternative solution after several years of care by George but there are some very big shoes to fill. If you are looking for someone reliable and trustworthy to look after your pets while you are away then you will be hard pushed to find anyone better.

We have been using George at The Pet People Romsey for many months now to visit and walk our Border Collie Kes. George has such a great understanding of dogs and shows much kindness, love and respect. She has built up a great friendship with Kes, who loves her visits and enjoys playing his favourite game with her.

We have been using Georgina from The Pet People Romsey to look after our cat Monty for almost a year now. We are very pleased with her services. Our cat always seems relaxed and happy after we come home, and Georgina keeps us updated regularly. She came over the house before we booked her services for the first time to meet the cat and to see the house and check where everything was, and she has done other services for free such as plant watering, moving blinds up and down, putting the bins out for collection, etc (last summer she watering our garden daily when we were away!) She is trustworthy and reliable and we will continue to use her services in the foreseeable future.
