We love all animals - big, small, furry, scaly, fluffy, feathery, noisy, timid, boisterous. We care for your pets in the same way as you would and just as you want. Whether it be dog walking, cat sitting, play visits, feeding, holiday care or just providing some pet company, we want your pets to be happy.
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and we provide regular photos and updates on how your pets are doing - either on their dog walk or whilst you are away. Every pet (and pet parent) is different and we get to know both you and your pet to ensure that everyone is content and looked after.
We are based in Abbotswood, Romsey in Hampshire and our standard pricing includes services within a 2 mile radius of Abbotswood. If you live further afield we are happy to help but will need to charge a bit extra for travel. Just get in touch!
Dog Walking & Visits
Every dog is an individual so at The Pet People we offer one to one walks or group walks. Our dog walkers walk a maximum of 4 dogs on our group dog walks and we make sure all dogs on a group walk get along - we want our dogs to be happy. We offer a solo dog walking service for dogs who require one to one care away from other dogs. This service suits nervous or elderly dogs, or dogs who prefer human companionship.
We collect and drop home your dog and we operate our dog walking services in safe open spaces away from busy roads. We provide a mixture of on and off lead dog walks so that your dog is able to get a good amount of exercise.
Cat Sitting
Whether it be for a holiday, weekend away, business trip or company for new kittens, we can pop in and visit your cat at home, provide fresh food, clean litter trays and provide cuddles and playtime. We want to make sure your VIP is purfectly happy during their cat sit.
While visiting your cat we can also water plants, put your bins out and open or close the curtains to give the impression of the house being occupied.
Small Pets & Exotics
We know small pets are just as important as big pets so when you need to spend time away from them we can pop in and make sure they have everything they need to be happy.
We also offer a small pet hotel service whereby you check your pet in with us to care for while you are away.
Our pet sitting service cover exotic animals - they need attention and fresh food and water like every pet. We can pop in daily or on an ad hoc basis to provide your pet with the routine they are used to.
Being owners of a variety of exotic pets including snakes, geckos, frogs and fish, we understand the importance of regulating heat and light in tanks and vivariums.

George walks my dog, Scruffy, twice a week for an hour. Scruffy is always dog-tired when I get home at the end of the day, so I know she's had a fantastic time! George is reliable, honest, caring and trustworthy and keeps me up to date with Scruffy's walks by sending photographs, which is a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend for all your pet care needs, not just dog-walking!
